Blue Note at Sea to Return in January 2023

July 1, 2021

After going on a short hiatus because of the pandemic, Blue Note at Sea will sail again from January 13-20, 2023, performing more than 100 hours of live music. Ports of call will be announced at a later date.

Hosts of the voyage, produced by Jazz Cruises in partnership with Blue Note Records and The Blue Note Jazz Clubs, will be multi-instrumentalist Marcus Miller, pianist Robert Glasper, and Blue Note President, Don Was. Among the performers will be trumpeter Chris Botti, bassist Christian McBride, and vocalist Cecile McLorin Salvant. Music Director will be saxophonist Eric Marienthal (photo above).

Performances occur at six locations on the ship including the main dining room, The Metropolitan Restaurant, which is converted into a jazz club each night during the week.

Although the sailing date is 16 months away, all guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will be followed. Based on current CDC recommendations, all guests, performers, crew, and staff will be vaccinated and must provide proof of vaccination to board the ship.
