The late Chick Corea won two Grammy Awards, announced Sunday, March 14, at the 2021 awards ceremony, broadcast from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Corea’s Grammys were: Best Improvised Jazz Solo for “All Blues” on the Concord Jazz album, Trilogy 2 with bassist Christian McBride and drummer Brian Blades; and, shared with McBride and Blades, for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, also for Trilogy 2. His awards were accepted by his wife, Gayle Moran.
