Carrying the Music Forward Through Our Students

GENERATIONS OF JAZZ is a musical history lesson performed by a jazz band and singers, demonstrating the origins and evolution of jazz from its roots in the Negro spiritual and European music to Dixieland, Swing, Bebop and a few stops in between. The Generations program can be performed for students from Kindergarten through high school, as well as for college and adult organizations, with adaptations to accommodate each age group.

Pam Purvis, noted vocalist, is the musical director for the program. Other key personnel include Bob Ackerman on reeds and Stan Myers, of WPSU-FM (88.7) radio, narration.

Price: $900.00 per performance. Special consideration is available for more than one school or performance.
